What is a hydronic heater?
ITR® Hurricane Heaters use a non-toxic coolant mix in insulated tubing to move heat through your boat. The boiler heats and then pumps coolant piped in a loop through each cabin. Then each cabin or “zone”, controlled by individual thermostats, has a heat exchanger and a fan, which blows over the exchanger to provide heat to the space. It vastly outpaces any forced air heat system both in performance and space saving.
The Hurricane line can also provide on-demand hot water with no need for a water tank, either built in to the heater or as a modular add-on. Which means you can deep-six that big water heater tank entirely.
Engine preheat or waste heat? We’ve got a hookup for that too! Use your heater to pre-heat your engine coolant for easier starting, or siphon heat off your engine to heat your boat.
